28 years ago the public fell in love with Robert Zemeckis’s Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks. Now a cult, feature film depicting the life of a simple and pure man who became a war hero has the right to a Bollywood remake.
Director: Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha Takes on the history of the Zemekis film by its adaptation in India. Famous Quote “Life is like a box of chocolates …Also included, in addition to the fact that chocolates are replaced here by Golgapa, an Indian specialty made from bread, peppers, onions and potatoes.
The film is performed by Amir Khan, one of the most famous actors in Bollywood. The 57-year-old has starred in over fifty films, including Ghajin, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3, Dangal and Thugs of Hindostan. He responds here to Karina Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt or Shawn Jaman.
Laal Singh Chada will be released in Indian cinemas on August 11th. No date has been announced in France.
