The expectations for Barbie (2023) keep increasing and the Ryan Gosling is confident and excited to let the world know its version of Ken, the famous Mattel doll, and Barbie’s faithful partner, who will be played by Margot Robbie.
In an interview with QA, the artist, 42 years old, spoke out about the criticism for his casting in the role, in which many experts pointed out that he is too old to play the puppet. In the chat, gosling points out that Ken’s entire existence was just “enjoying the beach” and being Barbie’s partner.
“I would say, you know, if people don’t want to play with Ken […] Everyone was fine with it said the actor. “But all of a sudden it’s like, ‘No, we worried about Ken the whole time.’ And no, you don’t care. You never did. Barbie never fucked Ken. That’s the point.”
