In its 19 years of existence, Grey’s Anatomy has seen many surgical trainees come to study at the hospital. Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Alex (Justin Chambers), Christina (Sandra Oh), Liz (Katherine Heigl) and George (TR Knight) are the first generation to learn from the best in hopes of one day becoming doctors.
And over the years, many new interns have come to join one of the top programs in the country. After the original cast graduated, no less than 3 generations of interns followed.
Although some managed to graduate and become doctors, many dropped out along the way. With the arrival of a new generation of Grey’s Anatomy season 19 interns, test your knowledge on this topic!
Released in 2005, Grey’s Anatomy follows the adventures of a group of doctors at Gray Sloan’s memorial. Season 19, currently airing every Wednesday night on TF1, saw the departure of Ellen Pompeo, who has been in Meredith Grey’s camp since the start of the series.
A few months after that announcement, which turned out to be a bombshell for many fans, it was Kelly McCreary, aka Maggie Pearce, who in turn announced that she would be saying goodbye to season 19. Despite these two departures, the medical series has been renewed for an additional season, which is due to air in the United States next year.
James Pickens Jr. (Richard Webber) and Chandra Wilson (Bailey), the last two members of the original cast, have already signed on for this flurry of additional episodes. Also in attendance will be Kim Raver (Ted), Kevin McKidd (Owen), Camilla Ludington (Joe Wilson) and Caterina Scorsone (Amelia Shepherd).
