The verdict of the Jury Court of Tramandaí fully accepted the requests of the Public Prosecutor of Rio Grande do Sul (MPRS) and sentenced, this Friday June 2, the mother who committed the infanticide and abandoned the body of the newborn in a garbage Candies. She received a 27-year prison sentence for the crimes of triple qualified homicide (inconvenient motive, suffocation and resource that made the victim’s defense difficult) and concealment of a corpse.
Prosecutors André Luiz Tarouco Pinto and Karine Camargo Teixeira presented the indictment during the trial. The crime
The defendant concealed her pregnancy from her partner and family by using lap belts, shorts with abdominal extensions and breast shields. On June 11, 2017, around 11 pm, when she went into labor, she went to the bathroom of the residence where she lived with her partner and in-laws, in Zona Nova de Tramandaí, and gave birth to a baby boy. To kill the newborn, she asphyxiated the baby by stuffing a wad of paper into his mouth. She then placed the baby and placenta in a plastic bag and left them in the bathroom cabinet. To muffle the noise and any cries of the baby, she turned on the hair dryer and the shower. She then she cleaned the whole bathroom.

Furthermore, he made it difficult for anyone to notice the crime, turning on the shower and the hairdryer, creating sounds that prevented those present from becoming aware of the facts and from acting in defense of the newborn”.
The next day, around 1:30 pm, she hid her son’s body, placing the bag with the afterbirth and the body in a garbage can on Avenida Rubem Berta, in Tramandaí. A collector of recyclable materials called the Military Brigade when he found the boy in the trash.
