WARNING, THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE SERIES IT ALL BEGINS Monday night on TF1! If you don’t want to understand anything, don’t read!
On Monday, June 5, everything starts here…
Vicky and Mehdi investigate Eugene
Vicky tries to believe Mehdi’s theory about her mother. She adores her eldest daughter and will have no reason to hurt her on purpose. But if Mehdi is right, she can’t see herself letting her sister go back to Bordeaux alone with her mother.
Hortense and Eugenie postponed their departure until this afternoon because of the young woman’s discomfort on Friday. His meeting in Bordeaux is scheduled for the next day, so they have no choice. Hortense reports feeling much better before she remembers the treatment. Vicky tries to stop him from doing so, insisting that maybe that’s what’s bothering him. Eugene backs off and insists that Hortense at least get the treatment.
While Hortense goes to the kitchen to sink into the ground and confides in Lionel her fear that she won’t be able to return to the institute, Vicky asks Enzo for help in searching her mother’s house. On the spot, he gets a job contract for the second time at Coba restaurant in Bordeaux.
Vic quickly showed the document to Mehdi. For them, this is proof of a theory: Eugene is trying to weaken Hortense so that she misses her exams and cannot get a full professorship at the institute. Instead, Hortense will be forced to accept a second post, which she refused anyway.
Mehdi and Vicky will talk to Hortense about it. But the latter does not believe and suspects her sister of being in love with jealousy. However, Mehdi does not budge: he noticed that Hortense felt worse and worse after receiving the treatment prescribed by her mother.
Hortense finds Eugene outside the Institute. While waiting for a taxi, he tells his mother that he wants to stop treatment. He hands her his pills. Eugene holds one in his hand and examines it more carefully. Raising his head to his daughter, Eugene declares that this is not the medicine he prescribed…
Ethan stops studying
In the studio, David, Axel and Ethan train together. Although his comrades are very stressed, Ethan offers them a break. David and Axel do not hide their surprise, but prefer to continue working.
For the lunch break, David and Axel offer sandwiches to go. Ethan offers them a meal on the beach. David and Axel still can’t believe it because their friend is supposed to be the most perfectionist of the group. Ethan admits that he can’t find the motivation to work, especially since he thinks about Samia a lot. David and Axel understand. David also encourages her to go to the beach, but alone, so she can focus on herself.
Ethan takes her advice and goes for a longboard session on the beach. There he meets Joachim, as well as two girls with whom he spends time playing sports. At the end of their session together, two girls offer them a drink. If Joachim refuses, Ethan happily accepts.
Anais has no head for work
Rose explains to graduate students what their first-year certification entails. They will have to pass an excellent oral before a jury of great chefs and investors. The goal is to present a complete menu related to the project they have developed. While most of the students are panicking, Anais has her head elsewhere, too busy texting Theo.
Masters students start working. Charlene wants to offer her services to revise the menus of complex restaurants, Enzo is still thinking about his desire to bake, and Salome remains in the project of a healthy restaurant, but in a more intimate environment than a franchise. Anais, on the other hand, believes that her concept, which she had time to develop with Chef Mayer, has been sufficiently executed. When Theo comes to join her, Anais doesn’t hesitate to spend time with him rather than work.
Later, Teissier goes to the studio to check out the students’ projects. When Anais pitches him an idea for a vegan concept store, the director accuses him of not working hard enough. He warns: if he continues like this, he will go straight into the wall.
At the end of the day, Anais joins Theo at home. The pair kiss passionately until Emmanuel interrupts. While Theo goes for a drink, the director of the institute is left alone with his daughter-in-law. He uses the opportunity to support his speech: since he is in a relationship with his son, Anais does not give up. But knowing her talent, he encourages her to move on because she deserves better.
