Barbara Cabrita, Odile Vuillemin and Jean-Michel Tinivel in TF1’s next detective series adapted from Spanish fiction

This Monday, June 5, TF1 began filming Rivière Perdue, its next detective action series adapted from the hit Spanish fiction Monterperdido. It is Jean-Christophe Delpias, who notably worked on HPI, Tandem and Alice Nevers, who will be responsible for directing 6 episodes of the series in the natural setting of the Pyrenees-Orientales.

If Olivier Marshall was initially announced in the camp of one of the main characters of Riviere Perdue, in the end his place was taken by Jean-Michel Tinnevelli (Alice Never).

Alongside him, TF1 viewers will be able to find a number of actors well known to the general public, namely Barbara Cabrita (Escape, Fried Chickens), Odile Vuillimin (Prometheus), Bruno Debrandt (Cain), Annelies Hesme (Nina), Nicolas Gob (Art of Crime) and Kamel Belghazi (tomorrow belongs to us).

After a spectacular car accident in which the teenager Anna reappears after having been missing for 5 years, Captain Alix Stern (Barbara Cabrita) and Commissioner Balthus (Jean-Michel Tinivel) are stationed with Victor Ferrer (Nicolas Gobb). The chief of the local gendarmerie, together with Ana, is on the trail of a young girl, Lucia, who has not appeared.

Rivière Perdue is produced by Terence Films (Cut, Les Innocents) and GTV Products, in association with TF1. The screenplays were written by Eugene Dard (Lightning), Sylvain Caron (Balthazar) and Elsa Wasser.

Success in Spain

Monteperdido, the series from which Rivière Perdue is adapted, was a real success in Spain when it aired in the spring of 2019. It was also one of the most watched fictions on Spanish television that year.

A success that allowed the series to receive a sequel, called Tramuntana, which aired in January 2021 on La 1. Unfortunately, this sequel, which took place in a different region and carried over the cast from the first season, did not have the same success. .
