In the 3-1 win over Coritiba, Luis Guilherme made his debut in Palmeiras’ starting lineup. Cria da Academia had already defended Verdão on six other occasions, but all from the bench.
This Monday (5), after Alviverde’s training — the first with an eye on Barcelona de Guayaquil, for Libertadores —, the number 31 praised his happiness at having received the opportunity from Abel Ferreira, who chose him to replace the suspended Raphael Veiga in the duel against Coxa.
“I am very happy to have made my debut as a starter for Palmeiras at the age of 17. I am happy that things are going the way I always thought,” he said.
“Everyone helped me, but mainly Veiga, Mayke, Gustavo Gómez, who told me to stay calm and do what I was doing in the games I was playing. Everything worked out, I’m happy for that and I hope to help more often team,” concluded Luis Guilherme.
Holder of the conquests of the Cup (2022 and 2023), Campeonato Brasileiro sub-17 (2022), Paulista sub-17 (2022), Copa do Brasil sub-17 (2022), among others — since his arrival at Palmeiras, in 2017 — , Luis Guilherme also celebrated his win for the Brasileirão.
