The president said the armament would bring “peace” to the region
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard unveiled its new hypersonic missile, dubbed “Fatah”, on Tuesday.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi attended the ceremony, according to the official IRNA news agency, and said the weapons would increase Tehran’s “power of deterrence” and bring “peace and stability to the countries of the region”.
The hypersonic ballistic missile has a range of 1,400 kilometers and can reach up to Mach 15, i.e. 15 times the speed of sound.
According to the Revolutionary Guard, Fatah is capable of overcoming and destroying any anti-missile shield system and evading radar. .
