Versace joins Elton John in the fight to end AIDS by 2030

The Versace Foundation, together with the creative director of the brand Donatella Versace and her daughter, Allegra Versace Beck, announced this Tuesday (6) their support for a new fundraising campaign promoted by the institution of the singer Elton John in an attempt to eliminate the AIDS by 2030.

The Versace Foundation donation, which is expected to reach USD 300,000, will be used to support programs dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community, through the “Rocket Fund”, the Elton John AIDS Foundation campaign which aims to raise USD 125 million to increase support for people most at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.

As part of this collaboration, Donatella will assume the role of co-chair of the program, which will focus on addressing the health inequalities, stigma and discrimination that allow the disease to continue to proliferate.

“I am truly honored to be Co-President of the ‘Rocket Fund’ and to support this fundamental initiative together with the Versace Foundation. I am very proud to be able to support the LGBTQIA+ community”, said Donatella, recalling that “Versace has always supported inclusion and equity and pledges “to support Elton and his incredible foundation and his mission to end AIDS and the stigma associated with it by 2030.”

The “Rocket Fund” will increase access to health resources, such as tests and medicines, as well as counteracting discriminatory and dangerous legislation and allow categories at the highest risk to take control of their health through prevention and information.

Donations to the campaign can be made through the official project link (https://donate.eltonjohnaidsfoundation.org/rocketfundus/?utm_so urce=&utm_medium=&utm_campaign=&utm_content=) .
