More than 500 boys participated in the selection over five days and 21 were chosen
An unprecedented event took place in Rio de Janeiro last week involving Vila Nova-GO and some teams, social projects and an academy. The Goiás association has sent an analyst/base manager to the capital Rio de Janeiro to evaluate the young athletes. Businessman João Proetti, creator of the Midwest club’s arrival, spoke about the purpose of the event.

More than 500 young people from the metropolitan region, Baixada Fluminense and Campos participated in the selection for five days and 21 young people were chosen. Coach Rodrigo Carvalho commented on what Vila Nova is aiming for in the project.
– João opened the doors to Rio so we could observe, map and monitor athletes. What we are looking for are their values, according to each position. We hope to come back another time – definite.
