Trailer: After a 4-year absence, Prime Video’s most devilishly hilarious series is finally back

finally! After a four-year wait, Prime Video has just released the first trailer for Season 2 of Good Omens, a series both devilish and angelic with David Tennant, Michael Sheen and Jon Hamm.

Originally adapted from the novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, this season 2 moves beyond the source material to focus on the special friendship between the speedy angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), also a rare book dealer, and Crowley (or Rampa in French). played by David Tennant), a demon who lives at full speed.

The duo return to a quiet life among mortals in London’s Soho, until the archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) suddenly appears at the door of Aziraphale’s bookshop, with no memory of who he is or how he got there.

Doon Macickan and Gloria Obianyo will reprise their roles as Archangel Michael and Archangel Uriel. This season we will see more familiar faces, but in new roles. Thus, Miranda Richardson plays the demon Shax, Maggie Service is Maggie, and Nina Sosania portrays Nina.

But there will also be some new faces joining the gang of castaways from Heaven and Hell: Liz Carrey as the angel Saracael, Quellin Sepulveda as the angel Muriel, and Shelley Cohn as the demon Beelzebub.

Neil Gaiman steps on as executive producer and co-showrunner, as does Douglas McKinnon, who returns behind the camera to direct six episodes. The first season of Good Omens caused a sensation. On AlloCiné, the series has an average audience rating of 4.1 and 4.4 for the press.

Season 2 is produced by Amazon Studios, BBC Studios Productions, The Blank Corporation and Narrativia. It will air on Prime Video from July 28.
