The Mountain Bike cyclist is in sixth place in the Junior (U23) race of the World Championship stage
On the last day of the Swiss stage of the mountain bike World Cup, the star of Brazil was Alex Malacarne. The 21-year-old cyclist finished sixth in the Olympic cross-country event, the XCO, in the Junior (under 23) category.
He completed the race in 1h13min52s, just 54 seconds behind the winner, the Swiss and host Dario Lilio. The podium was completed by the Canadian Woods and the French Adrien Bochis, who completed it respectively in (1h13min00s 1h13min10s).
Among women, the best result in Brazil was with Sabrina Oliveir, who placed 49th, with 1h24min14s. The winner was Heby Pedresen from Denmark with a time of 1h12min42s.
In the Elite (professional) category, Brazil did not have the same performance. Henrique Avancini was only 47th, while Raíza Goulão finished 31st
