We Thought It Was Dead and Buried: This Franchise Will Be Reborn Thanks to the Ending of Transformers 7

Warning – The article below contains spoilers as it goes back to the final scene of Transformers: The Rise of the Beast and reveals one of its surprises. Please continue if you haven’t seen it yet.

Transformers hits theaters June 7. And that’s five years after the release of Bumbleblee, which served as much as a prequel as a spin-off of the action and sci-fi saga, and it took place in the 80s.

Directed by Stephen Caple Jr. (Creed II), Rise of the Beast takes a leap in time and stops in 1994, with a plot that predates Michael Bay’s opus.

If Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are still in the game and the Terrorcons take the place of the Decepticons as the bad guys, the feature film introduces us to the Maximals, machines that take on the appearance of animals (gorillas, falcons, etc.). And in the middle are people played by Dominic Fishback and Anthony Ramos.

Anthony Ramos in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

At the beginning of the feature film, he is looking for a job, and the latter he finds at the end. And the epilogue shows her having a job interview with a man played by Michael Kelly, a supporting role most notably seen in Person of Interest and House of Cards.

Those who have already seen him on the small and big screen doubt that the actor is not by chance, and the end of the scene proves us right.

While protagonist Noah Diaz talks about his last job in South America and is careful to remain vague about meeting the Transformers, his interlocutor mentions his presence in Peru and the fact that his conversations are indeed being listened to.

He then tells her about his desire to recruit her to a mysterious organization whose name is written on the business card he left behind: GI Joe.

Friends and robots?

But then what? While a specific project may be announced during the US release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts on June 9, we don’t yet know what form the crossover brought by this card will take. And what looks like Nick Fury’s visit with Tony Stark at the end of the first Iron Man.

Will Noah Diaz be the hero of the next GI Joe movie? Will the super soldiers be called upon to lend a hand to the Autobots in their continued war against the Decepticons in an explosive collaboration? both?

Adrian Palick in GI Joe 2

Last May, producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura told Collider that the series centered on the character of Lady Jay (who appears as Adrian Palick in GI Joe 2) was abandoned, but a new feature film was to see the light of day, two years after the failure of Snake Eyes. Which is even more logical today. But will it be from scratch, or will it simply reunite the Rise of the Beasts hero in the same vein?

The secret is total today. Or almost because the option of a crossover between Transformers and GI Joe seems to be taking shape. And this is not the first time that the idea of a shared universe around Hasbro’s licenses has been mentioned. Is Rise of the Beasts the first brick of the HCU? Please reply very soon.
