Though he shines behind the camera, Taika Waititi has had great success as an actor, playing comedic roles that allow him to show off his unique sense of humor. Instead of using the extreme dedication worn by stars like Jared Leto , Waititi seems to improvise. In the WITH CABLE auto-complete interview The actor and director answered the most searched questions on the Internet about him and explained how little he prepares for his work as an actor:
I’m the laziest actor you’ve ever met. I played Hitler, I didn’t read anything about him. I just played Blackbeard in Our Flag Means Death. I went to Wikipedia and there are too many words! I read the first part, it comes from Bristol. I looked at the Bristol accent, which sounds like Stephen Merchant, and I thought, “No, it’s too harsh. So I created my accent. Here, this is my grade, my grade is me. and I succeed then.
Such approaches can be risky, especially for a role like Adolf Hitler’s jojo bunny, but the star (who won an Oscar for screenplay) handled the room perfectly . Thanks to her extravagant sense of humor, her performance was more than successful. He can have “I felt weird” playing Hitler in the context of such a story, but the results cannot be contested.
Even though Taika Waititi wore a German accent for her role as Hitler, that appears to be the only other accent she actually worked on. We will see his preparation (or lack of him) of him at work when he reprises his role as Korg in The next superhero movie Thor: love and thunder in theaters on July 8th. He will also voice him to Mo Morrison in disney launch Light yearpremiered on June 17.
