We are now in 2022 and surprisingly has been relaunched with a more grown-up series that still packs a lot of nostalgia. The Paramount + series continues the stories of Carly, Freddie and Spencer, and if fans needed to remember that they all grew up, Miranda Cosgrove went viral for saying the f-bomb, and now she’s talking about it.
Recently, the surprisingly the star went viral on TikTok, thanks to an interview released in 2020. The singer starred in the podcast Whitney Cummings Good for you, where he confessed that he swore a little. She later revealed that her favorite of hers was the “swear queen mother”, also known as “fuck”. This little snippet prompted TikTokers, including Lizzo, Joe Jonas, and Sophie Turner, to recreate it.
Miranda Cosgrove has recently and finally reacted to the viral moment. while she talks to peopleCosgrove shared his honest thoughts on the matter, just hoping it won’t ruin anyone’s childhood:
I mean, I hope I haven’t ruined anyone’s childhood. … I think that’s definitely what it is, but it was so random because I did this interview with my friend Whitney over a year ago. It’s so funny how the internet works. For example, you never know what’s going to be hot or what’s going to happen.
It wasn’t exactly unusual to hear Miranda Cosgrove swear, as she and her co-stars now make a fair amount of it in the surprisingly Renaissance. by Cosgrove Drake and Josh Co-star Josh Peck was among those who took advantage of his sister’s on-screen viral moment. The actor did a reenactment of TikTok, yelling at her “little sister” and people loved it.
With the two actors still very close and Peck also guest star in season 2 of surprisingly, clearly there are no hard feelings with TikTok and it was a lot of fun for Peck. Though it’s still a little weird to see my childhood favorites acting so differently from how I saw them on the small screen as a kid.
The curse isn’t the only more adult element of the surprisingly the revival includes that it definitely wasn’t part of the original series. The Paramount + show also often features characters drinking and partying, as well as in sexual situations, albeit more embarrassing than romantic.
Times have certainly changed and people have changed, so fans will just have to accept (and hopefully accept) that Miranda Cosgrove isn’t shy about showing that she has grown from her days at Nickelodeon. Also, the original surprisingly Fans have grown too, so it’s not like the target audience of the revival is kids!
