Tudum, the event for fans of Netflix and its productions, starts this Friday (16th). Held in São Paulo, it is expected to bring information on the streaming service’s upcoming major releases, as well as updates on some of the most popular series on the platform.
OR visited the Tudum installations in the Pavilhão da Bienal in São Paulo on Thursday (15). Check out a little of the experience visitors will have below and find out what to expect in the coming days of the event.
To know more:
A mini Netflix amusement park
With more than 2,000 square meters spread over two floors of the Bienal Pavilion, Tudum is a paradise for fans of Netflix productions. Right at the entrance, visitors find a huge “Tudum” for taking pictures or even recording videos: the speakers play the short Netflix vignette over and over.
The space has reproductions of known environments from the Netflix series as well as some future releases. Right at the entrance, users find the ship “One Piece” — which has no launch date yet, but we may learn more about the debut on Saturday (17th). Walking through the pavilion it is also possible to visit a reproduction of Wandinha’s room, or the café of “Emily in Paris”, or carry out activities that refer to Round 6″.
Everything tastes like Netflix. Even some of the restaurants located on the second floor have names that refer to food or drinks from series and films. There’s also a shop that sells merchandise like T-shirts, mugs, books, manga, and more.
A curious thing I noticed is that the T-shirt of all the employees of the event already answers one of the questions that surely many visitors would ask themselves: they have no dates! I mean, there’s no point in asking the folks who care about the “Stranger Things” exhibit when it’s going to air next season — they don’t have that information.
The main event takes place on Saturday (17)
Tudum’s main attraction takes place in the late afternoon on Saturday (5pm). Starting at 17:30, broadcast via the internet, a presentation will bring new information on future releases in streaming, and with the promise of the participation of actors and actresses from the productions. Gal Gadot, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Henry Cavill and Chris Hemsworth are some of the names expected to appear during the presentation.
OR will report the main innovations announced during the presentation – stay tuned to our website and social networks so you don’t miss any details!
