Tonight on TV: Without this cast member, a barbecue sequel would never have been called Plancha!

We left them at Lyons, after a summer holiday which could not have been more interesting at a magnificent villa in Garde. Here they are back, this time in their raincoats, in Brittany! They are Lambert Wilson, Sophie Duez, Franck Dubosque, Guillaume de Tonquedec, Jérôme Comandeur, Lionel Abelansky, Lizian Mays and Valerie Cruz, Heroes of the Barbecue (2014), returning to Plancha after 8 years.

Plancha: under the “grill” sky of Brittany

Broadcast on CANAL + this June 16 and available on myCANAL, this new installment, still directed by Eric LaVine, reunites almost all the original cast (except Florence Forrest) and welcomes Caroline Anglade, who plays Anna, the new half. By Baptiste (Frank Dubosky). Pool days over, the group finds themselves in a mansion in Kerzelek after a trip to Greece is canceled at the last minute.

In the program: rain, but above all, a stream of funny, moving scenes and parties that break down for these friends who have gathered for Yves (Guillaume de Tonquedec)’s 50th birthday. Besides being the king of the party in this sequel, the actor revealed in Don’t Do This, Don’t Do That, he’s none other than the one we owe the film’s title to!

And for good reason, the latter should have been called something completely different at first: 100% Brittany. But it was Guillaume de Tonquedec who gave the director the idea to call it Plancha.

When we were on the barbecue tour, Guillaume ended his speeches with the following words: “After the barbecue, we will meet the others, the plancha, the sea and finally the pierrad in the mountains”the film director recalls. Now, Guillaume, we have to prepare for this winter’s Woke in Thailand.“History does not say, Eric LaVine really “plancha” on all these projects!
