The cast of ‘Wandinha’ made a brief video appearance at Netflix’s global fan event, Tudum, which took place on Saturday (6/17) in Sao Paulo, and hinted that a new member of the Addams Family is joining would join them in season 2.
Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair) and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin) teamed up to answer fan theories and one revolved around speculation that there would be a new member of the Wandinha family in the production. They confirmed the news, but didn’t reveal who it would be. Ortega said he “would like to see Primo Coisa (Itt),” while the other cast members said they wanted to see Grandma Addams.
Another fan theory that the cast has suggested might be right involves the return of Professor Weems, played by Gwendoline Christie. Ortega stressed that viewers “have never seen her funeral,” which suggests that she may still be alive. Fans have pointed out that, towards the end of the season, Stumble (Lurch) emerges with a different eye color than when viewers first saw him on the series, with some speculating that he could be replaced by Weems , who is a shapeshifter.
Aside from these insinuations, the cast regretted they couldn’t say more. Myers explained that “‘Wandinha’ season 2 is in the works right now and the story is so under wraps that even we don’t know what’s going to happen.”
Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (“Smallville”), and directed by Tim Burton (“Dumbo”), the series is still far from starting to record its new episodes, which do not have a release date.
