The Concacaf Nations League 2023 has met its champion. Sunday night, Canada and the United States met in the final of the competition in a match that ended in a 2-0 American victory, which allowed the Americans to become two-time champions of the tournament.

Played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the match took place between two teams who had good campaigns in the group stage. The Canadians finished first in pool C, with four wins and one loss, while the Americans were first in pool D, with three wins and one draw.

With the ball moving between the teams, the first goal was not long in coming. After 11 minutes of rolling the ball in the first half, American Giovanni Reyna took a corner down the right and, in the middle of the area, Chris Richards headed in well to score the Canadian goals.

The last American goal also came out in the first half, which decreed the score. In the 33rd minute, after another assist, Giovanni Reyna sends a good ball for Folarin Balogun who faces the goalkeeper and drops the bomb, with no possibility of defence.

In this way, after a goalless second half, the United States won the Concacaf League of Nations for the second time, a tournament that has only had two editions so far. Therefore, the Americans are the only champions so far.
