Danilo completes 50 matches for the national team and is honored by the president of the CBF

Right-back Danilo pulled off a special feat for the Brazil national team last Saturday in a friendly against Guinea. The game marked the defenseman’s 50th game with the bell. For this reason, the player was honored this Monday by Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF.

During the cast lunch, the manager gave a short speech and gave Danilo a shirt with the number 50, to celebrate the brand. The 31-year-old thanked the award and spoke about his goals for Brazil.

“It is a great honor to receive this tribute. I hope to be with you for many more games and thank you all for the love and commitment in every game, in every training session, and that we can continue in this partnership in the pursuit of achieving great achievements and goals for the national team,” he said.

Called up for the first time in 2011, Danilo played for Brazil in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, starting in the latter. The full-back has become one of manager Tite’s trusted names and has been called up again by interim Ramon Menezes for the FIFA Date in June.

The national team is in Lisbon to face Senegal this Tuesday. The team will play at the José Alvalade Stadium, in Lisbon, at 16:00 (Brasilia time).
