His absence from the series has angered fans. But rest assured, Carol Bennett will indeed be appearing in Daryl Dixon’s spin-off, a new series based on The Walking Dead universe!
Originally, the series was supposed to focus on the duo formed by Daryl and Carol, similar to the series Dead City, which follows the adventures of Maggie and Negan. But her translator Melissa McBride eventually announced her intention to withdraw from the project, due to filming in Europe that would take her away from her family for too long.
Norman Reedus decided to respond to angry fans (and the many abusive messages received on his social networks…) by saying that he understood his partner’s decision, but that the door to the return of the franchise will always remain with him. But no one could have imagined that Carol would return to the series so quickly!
Thus, the character’s existence was confirmed by the reveal of promotional photos for the program, accompanied by a short teaser showing Daryl unconscious on a boat floating in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Also note that the series will also feature a dog, Daryl’s faithful canine companion!
We remind you that the spin-off Daryl Dixon was filmed in Europe and in particular in France. Thus, sections were filmed in the Paris region, but also in Mont-Saint-Michel, suggesting a travel adventure.
It is not yet known why Daryl will leave the Americas to come to France, but there is no doubt that the reveal of the trailer will give us the first elements of the answer to this question. The show is scheduled to launch in the fall of next year, with no official date or French broadcaster known at this time.
