Directed by Craig Gillespie, me, Tonya (2017) is starring Margot Robbie and follows the real life of the former ice skater Tonya Harding.
During the 1990s, harding was champion of the UK Ice Skating Championships and runner-up at the world championships. However, she became better known when her husband, Jeff Gillolyand two thieves tried to incapacitate one of their competitors by breaking her leg during the 1994 Olympics.

Nobody managed to make a triple axel for the movie
Margot Robbie trained intensely for the role—however, neither she nor the stunt doubles could perform a triple axel. So the jump had to be done with visual effects.

Sebastian Stan was ’embarrassed’ playing a real person

Stan admitted that much of the fear and shame in playing the role stemmed from the fact that when he was cast in me, Tonya, “had never played a real person before.” In addition, the star stated that he “certainly did not live” as Gilloolyreferring to the abusive behavior of the artist’s ex-husband.
Awarded participation
Allison Janney gave life to LaVona Harding in the movie, and won a Oscar as Best Supporting Actress by paper. Interestingly, the actress filmed her appearance in just eight days.
