If you followed the TUDUM event that Netflix streamed live globally on June 17th, then you’ve probably seen the first footage from Rebel Moon (review above), Zack Snyder’s upcoming film.
The director of 300 and Batman v Superman took us to a behind-the-scenes video where we can see actors like Sofia Boutella and Charlie Hunnam in action.

Rebel Moon takes us to a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy threatened by the forces of the tyrant Regent Balisarius. He sends a young woman with a mysterious past to search for warriors on neighboring planets to help them settle there. The film does not hide its affiliation with Star Wars, as it was once considered a spin-off.
The first poster features the French actor in a dry and apocalyptic setting, notably the wheat field where they were actually filming. Sofia Boutella lends her qualities to Cora, a young woman with a dark past who grew up during the war and knows how to fight.
The actress told our microphone that she underwent vigorous training for 4 months to model her body and be able to do her own stunts. Several months of filming will follow (from April to December) for this project, which Snyder has been working on for 20 years.
That’s why Rebel Moon is a particularly ambitious film for Netflix, which will offer it in two parts. The first part will be available on the platform from December 22.
