The tourist submarine Titan exploded near the wreck of the Titanic on Monday, killing five people. American media ABC News Contacted director James Cameron, a director of underwater documentaries, and went down to a depth of 10,898 meters in the never-explored depths of the sea thanks to the mini-submarine Deepsea Challenger, to find out his feelings about this tragic event.
And let the director of the Titanic not say the words:

I am amazed at the similarity to the Titanic disaster. The captain had been warned several times about the presence of ice in front of the ship, and yet he ran full speed into the icebergs.
According to him, the company behind the expedition, OceanGate, was warned about the potential danger: “Many people in the community were very concerned about this submarine. Several key players in the deep subsea engineering community even wrote letters to the company saying that what they were doing was too experimental to carry passengers.”
The Canadian director, who specializes in the seabed, wanted to remind you that he knew the issues and steps that should not be overlooked in the production of a submarine:
“As a submarine designer, I envisioned and built something that allowed us to go to the deepest depths of the ocean, three times lower than the Titanic. So I understand the engineering problems involved in building these types of vehicles and all the safety protocols that you have to go through. (.. .)”
Cameron also wanted to pay tribute to Paul-Henri Nargeole, a French explorer who was among the victims of the expedition and who was one of the experts on the Titanic: “It’s almost impossible for me to accept that he died tragically in this way.”
