The famous interpreter of Indiana Jones is not going to retire. This topic was actually discussed during an interview with CNN anchor Chris Wallace (via Variety ). The veteran actor, who will soon be celebrating his 81st birthday, says he loves to work and keep himself busy.
I don’t do so well when I don’t have a job. I like to work… I like to feel useful. This is my Jones, I want to use it.
And when asked what he likes so much about acting, the star replied:It’s the people you work with. The intensity of the collaboration and the intimacy… it’s the combined ambition that somehow forms from the words on the page. I don’t plan what I want to do on stage and I don’t feel obligated to do something, but what I’m working on naturally affects me.“
Harrison Ford may not be retiring just yet, but it looks like Indiana Jones is over for him. He has indeed stated that his last performance as an adventurous archaeologist will be the next installment, Le Cadran de la Destinée.
“This is the last film in the series and the last time I will play the character.”He previously told Total Film magazine. “I’m guessing this will be the last time it appears in the film.“
