Israel says Iranian attack on Israeli targets in Cyprus thwarted

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday hailed the frustration of an Iranian attack on Israeli targets in Cyprus.

“Israel welcomes the frustration of the Iranian terror attack on the territory of Cyprus against Israeli targets,” Netanyahu’s office said.

“Israel operates everywhere with a wide variety of methods to protect Jews and Israelis and will continue to act to end Iranian terrorism wherever it rears its head, including on Iranian soil,” the statement said.

Netanyahu’s statement did not include further details.
