Victor proposes to Virgil
Day breaks in Montpellier as Captain Leon questions Victor about his relationship with Lawrence Roussillon. Claire’s father then points out that she maintains an epistolary relationship with him, as well as with the other inmates. Although they became more or less friends, Victor claims to keep his distance from her. When the policeman questions him about his schedule on June 8, the day of Laurence Roussillon’s escape, Victor tells him that he went for a walk on the beach in Saint-Loup before going to the mountains to recharge for a few days. Unfortunately, Captain Leon is hard to believe. Tired of repeating the same thing for hours, Viktor loses his temper and asks to go home. Not finished with her, Manu refuses.
Only a few hours later, Victor finally leaves the police station and goes to his daughter’s house. After drinking coffee, he claims to have gone on vacation for a few days with a friend who wasn’t doing so well. When Claire tries to find out if she has anything to do with Laurence Roussillon’s escape, Victor confirms that she doesn’t. Faced with her daughter’s concern, she promises that everything is fine. Since he has to go home to shower before returning to the savages, Victor ends the conversation. For his part, Florent is convinced that Victor is involved in this woman’s escape and that he didn’t tell them anything to avoid complicity.
At the police station, Manu and Commissioner Becker investigate the investigation. Although he was unable to pronounce Victor, Captain Leoni wants to maintain surveillance. With any luck, Victor will be able to lead them to Laurence Roussillon. Although he’s on his side, Becker reminds him that the goal is to stop Lawrence Roussillon, not corner Victor. Manu knows this well.
Later, Victor goes to the thatched hut. After apologizing to Enzo and Emma for being gone longer than expected, Victor announced to them that he would make them a promise for all the overtime they had to work while they were away.
After that, Victor visits Elena. A chance to apologize to him, but also to thank him for his support. When Elena mentions Laurence Roussillon, Victor lets her know that he can’t say anything at the moment, but confirms that he will when the time comes.
At nightfall, Victor visits Virgil. As she needs money, Claire’s father offers to sell her shares in the thatched cottage for €30,000. A ridiculous amount because they cost five times more. If Virgil isn’t interested, he certainly doesn’t have that kind of money. Victor then insists that it’s a matter of life or death…
Maeva and Robin reconciled
As Maeva doesn’t answer his calls, Robin goes to her house to talk. The teenager doesn’t really appreciate seeing her on the ground, the teenager confirms that she doesn’t want to see him anymore before asking her to leave. As the tone rises, Yasmin, who lives next door, tries to find out if everything is okay. After he confirms this to her, Maeva brings Robin over to continue their conversation.
Robin then realizes that she pushes him away out of fear that she will judge him on a social level. When Maeva states that she doesn’t want her pity, Robin replies that she doesn’t and that she just wanted to be nice. He then states that he finds her stylish and interesting. Even if he admits that it was difficult, he still believes that he is the one who is really prejudiced. As he prepares to leave, Maeva stops him and invites him to stay.
After that, they spend the afternoon together taking photos of the young woman for social networks. As they are having fun, Karin offers Robin to stay for dinner, but she declines because she has to spend the evening with her parents. Upon returning home, Chloe and Evan inform him that they want to spend a few days with their family before leaving for Greece. An idea that clearly doesn’t sit well with Robin, who accuses them of spending too much money.
