Júnior Urso and Coritiba reach an agreement to terminate the contract
This Wednesday (28), journalist Rogerio Scarione announced that Coritiba and midfielder Júnior Urso have reached an amicable agreement for the termination of the athlete’s contract. The player was recovering from another injury at the club and hasn’t played since the draw against Santos.
Júnior Urso was one of Coritiba’s signings at the start of the year with the greatest expectations, as he was an athlete who had performed at a high level and was a player of superior caliber to the alviverde squad. However, all expectations fell short when the defensive midfielder was injured in his first game for Coxa, just the first game of the year, against Aruko.
This injury kept him off the field for almost three months, Urso made his return in the match against Sport on April 13, but would be injured again in the match against Fortaleza. This time the recovery was quicker and he was out just under a month.
Recently, Urso ended up suffering a new muscle injury and was recovering. In total, the defensive midfielder has played in just eight games for Coritiba in this spell and has only been in the starting lineup twice, both times under former Coxa boss António Oliveira, with Zago never in the starting lineup.
