Philip Lachaux follows in the footsteps of Allen Shabbat: he tackles the adaptation of the iconic comic after Alibi.com 2!

Alibi.com 2, which was released last February, attracted 4.2 million viewers in theaters. After this triumph, Philippe Lachaux recently announced his new project on his Instagram account!

There’s still no Nikki Larson 2 on the horizon, but her new feature film will be a comic book adaptation! Film director and actor Marsupillams 11 years after Alain Chabat’s version, which gathered 5.3 million curious people.

“I can’t tell you anything except that it will be an adaptation. Then what adaptation? We prefer to keep it a secret.”– said the teasing Philip Lachaux, purposefully taking pictures of stuffed marsupials in the background.

We remind you that the marsupial is an imaginary animal created by the Belgian writer Andre Frankin in 1952, in the Spiru and Fantazio series. Then he’ll have his own comic book. This creature is endowed with Herculean strength and a disproportionately prehensile tail, as well as all sorts of physical and behavioral peculiarities.

Philippe Lachaux has yet to announce a release date, cast or filming window. We’ll know more in the coming weeks.
