One of Netflix’s most beloved and major productions, Black Mirror has become one of the biggest sensations on the platform since its debut in 2011. Created by Charlie Brooker, the storyline has 27 episodes in all, as well as an interactive film, and is known for offering bizarre stories about the relationship between advances in technology and the perverse abilities of humans.
After 4 years of waiting, the plot of British origin is back in 2023 for its sixth season, bringing with it 5 unpublished episodes and quite different from what the series offered, but without losing its main essence.
The new episodes put advanced technology aside a bit to show that human beings are capable of anything for success, fame and money, even in simpler times. The quality of the production has always attracted attention, because in addition to being very well done, the stories manage to draw a parallel with the current reality in which we live.
We face the challenge of choosing the 10 best episodes of the series, to let you know, draw your own conclusions and, who knows, fall in love with the plot that has won so many fans. However, the list (which contains no spoilers) is not in leaderboard format. Look down:

Season 2 – Episode 1
Young couple Martha and Ash move into an isolated house in the countryside, and the next day Ash is killed on his way to their new home. Desolate at the loss of her, Martha discovers she is pregnant and discovers a new online service that allows people to keep in touch with someone who has died. Initially reluctant, Martha gives in to the new technology, capable of synthetically recreating her partner.
9. Polar bear (white bear)

Season 2 – Episode 2
The plot tells the story of Victoria, a woman who wakes up in a strange place, not remembering anything, not even who she is. As she leaves the house, she notices people avoiding and watching her, recording her movements from a distance.
Everything gets even stranger when she starts being hunted down by bloodthirsty people. The ending, as in other episodes, is amazing.
8. Natal (White Christmas)

Season 2 – Episode 4
The episode, or feature film, is an “end of the year special”, and centers on two men who harbor dark secrets, and talk about their lives on a Christmas afternoon, in a cabin located in a remote and crowded area of ice .
They share three bizarre stories about tech leaks, and the consequences of their confessions are dire.
7. Free fall (dive)

Season 3 – Episode 1
dive it is one of the audience’s favorite episodes, for having a story very close to our reality. The storyline shows a near future, where people have corneal implants and use a mobile phone application to rate those around them, between one and five stars.
Lacie, the protagonist, does everything to earn the maximum score needed to buy the house of her dreams. An invitation to a luxurious wedding seems like the perfect opportunity to show yourself positive, but nothing goes as planned.
6. San Juniper

Season 3 – Episode 4
San Junipero is one of the few “happy” episodes of Black Mirror, becoming a favorite of many fans for its heartwarming story. The plot takes place in 1987, and its protagonists are two very different girls, but who end up falling in love.
The novel spans the years, and is linked to a “resort town” called San Junipero, a virtual reality that houses elderly people. The episode, full of existentialist questions, won two Emmy Awards.
5. Hated in the nation

Season 3 – Episode 6
The episode closes the third season with a golden key, introducing a neo-noir thriller which follows two female detectives as they investigate mysterious deaths linked to the growing use of robot bees, bred for pollination.
The deaths also “coincide” with online polls, where public figures are chosen by the internet as the “most hated in the nation”, for having practiced questionable and condemnable acts.
4. Hang the DJ

Season 3 – Episode 6
Hang the DJ is another story-driven episode that softens the heavy beat of Black Mirror, offering a happy storyline. It tells of a future where the love relationship between people is decided through an application, which shows the compatibility and duration of relationships with the person in question.
However, the protagonists fight against the fate imposed by technology, and do everything to live their love story alone, even facing obstacles.
3. Black Museum

Season 4 – Episode 6
Most episodes of Black Mirror are not connected to each other, being made up of self-contained stories that can be watched in no particular order. However, it is possible to find several of them Easter eggs of the stories in some episodes, as in the case of Black Museum.
The protagonist stops at a service station to recharge her car and, while waiting, decides to visit the Black Museum, a macabre museum that houses technological objects that have been used in crimes. Like White Christmas, the storyline tells three separate stories, this time led by the museum owner. The ending is, once again, completely unexpected.
2. Joan is awful

Season 6 – Episode 1
The first episode of the brand new season of Black Mirror tells the story of Joan, an ordinary citizen who finds her life turned upside down when she discovers that her daily life has become a program on a streaming platform.
Every detail of her life airs within hours of happening in reality, causing Joan to lose her privacy, her boyfriend, and even her job. The plot criticizes users of streaming platforms and even Netflix itself.
1. Over the sea

Season 6 – Episode 3
The story takes place in an alternate past, set in the year 1969, when two astronauts embark on a six-year space mission. Their presence on the ship is necessary for routine checks and repairs, so they spend their time transferring their consciousness to the mechanical replicas found on Earth, with their respective families.
However, the family of one of them is attacked by cult members, who believe that the replica is not natural and shouldn’t exist, which ends up affecting the story of the two astronauts.
