Palmeiras fans protest in front of the Crefisa headquarters

Palmeiras’ main organized supporter, Mancha Verde, held a protest this Thursday (29). The demonstration took place in front of the headquarters of Crefisa, sponsor of the club and company of Leila Pereira, president of Verdão.

The biggest complaint from the fans is the lack of reinforcements at the club for the season. The annoyance had already been demonstrated last week, when the organization released an official note on its social networks. This Thursday, fans held up banners with words like ‘qualify team’.

In addition, the fans also mocked the purchase of the plane made by Leila Pereira, for use by Palmeiras. Fans criticized, saying the agent sold the club’s players to buy the plane.

“What’s the explanation? Danilo left and the plane arrived,” echoed the crowd.

“Oh Aunt Leia, be careful, the plane is not a contract,” the crowd sang, at another time.

Finally, the organization also complained about the ticket price, considered by them as “the most expensive in Brazil”. Thus the crowd sang the words in front of the Crefisa headquarters: “P… who has given birth, is the most expensive ticket in Brazil”.

Palmeiras on the market in 2023

So far, Palmeiras has made two signings in 2023. Richard Ríos, Guarani’s highlight in the Paulistão, as well as Artur, from Bragantino. The midfielder was a substitute, while the striker became one of the main names in Abel Ferreira’s squad. However, the main gap in the team is in midfield. Moreover, since Danilo left for Nottingham Forest, England, the club has not signed a replacement.
