Commissioner Becker is in a mess
After they were kicked out, Maeva and Karine spent the night with Claire and Florent. Early in the morning, the teenager finds his mother by the pool. Devastated by the death of her cousin, Karine did not sleep all night, especially since she feels responsible for the incident. If he had left the apartment earlier, Vincent would still be alive. For Maeva, he has nothing to do with it, and the police are responsible for Vincent’s death.
In turn, Commissioner Becker reads an article about Vincent’s death and in which the journalist wonders about the nature of Karine’s cousin’s death. Was it an accident or a police mistake? If Becker tries to understand what happened during this intervention, he also feels responsible for the situation.
Meanwhile, Florent just called the city hall. Karine and Maeva’s relocation process has been expedited and they should be able to find housing in the next few days. The lawyer then informs them that they are going to be interviewed by the police as part of an investigation into the circumstances of Vincent’s death. Finally, offer to protect them for free.
At the police station, Akim, Nora, Elise and Thierry don’t understand how Vincent managed to get over the railing. It must be said that they did not see anything because of the smoke and the agitation of the protesters. Moreover, Thierry and Nora, who were going back and forth between the apartment and the trucks, did not even know which floor they were on when the tragedy occurred. Elisha, on the other hand, is angry, especially at Becker, who puts people in danger. A conversation that the commissioner did not miss.
Not far from there, Prosecutor Bernier called on Judge Laplace to conduct the ongoing investigation. Thus, by appointing an Examining Magistrate, no one can censure him for lack of impartiality. However, Bernier asks him to keep in mind that every police union is waiting for him in the corner. If we must not create the impression that we are beating the police, we must not give the population the opportunity to believe that the police are dangerous. Judge La Place promises to be very careful.
Back at the station, Becker and Manu are still pointing out the development of the previous day’s events. Under the guilt, the commissioner is terribly angry that he did not insist enough on Laurent Geoffroy to complete the procedure.
At the same time, Maeva confronts the police, whom she considers responsible for Vincent’s death. Moreover, he was present when Thierry deleted the video on Yasmin’s phone. Therefore, he wonders if the latter would not try to protect one of his colleagues by suppressing the evidence. Kira then advises her classmate to tell Florent what she saw.
At the end of the day, Commissioner Becker and Laurent Geoffroy are summoned to court. On the spot, Clement tells us in detail about the expulsion of Karine and Maeva. When he explains that he asked Mr. Geoffroy to postpone the expulsion, the latter insists that this is not the case at all. If he confirms that he got a call from the commissar, the prefectural employee points out that he only called to warn that he was monitoring the situation. Remarks which are dismissed by Commissioner Becker, who claims that Laurent Geoffroy is lying.
Ludo is looking for donors
At the BGL firm, Claudine tells Ludo that it is Marcel’s foundation that will receive the donations and she will take care of the tax breaks for them to donate to their environmental projects. Therefore, Ludo only needs to convince the donors. Claudine then gives him a list of fifteen people chosen from the firm’s core clients. Moreover, Margo had already taken care of sending them information about the project. Now it’s up to Ludo to convince them to come out to the field to taste the regional products.
Ludo may not be sure he’s at his best on the canvas, but Claudine doesn’t really give him a choice.
Back at her roommate, she rushes to work and calls Francois Laumier to present her project. Unfortunately, he hangs up on her. Not discouraged by this failure, the young man contacted Elisabeth Bastide, and then invited her to a tasting of regional products with the vintner of their association. He happily accepts the offer.
In turn, Elodie thanks her father for letting Ludo and Noém present their association on his farm. When she pleads with him to be nice to future donors, William gets angry.
In the end, out of 15 people on the list, Ludo managed to convince 8. Small victory for Margot’s companion.
