Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef have decided to divorce after six years of marriage. On social networks, the couple announced the separation that took place on good terms this Thursday (6/7). “We are in total peace of mind,” they said.
On Instagram, the singer published a written statement with the artist. “We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity for our children and honoring what we have experienced as a couple during all these wonderful years,” she said.
“Our greatest desire now is to continue to have a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue raising our children together while preserving the respect and love we have for each other” .
The duo also stressed that the decision was made without major issues. “As always we appreciate all the love and support we have received throughout our marriage. We are in complete peace of mind and peace to begin this new chapter in our lives,” they concluded.

Ricky Martin and Jwan had their first contact through Instagram in 2015. The relationship was born six months later when they met in London, England.
However, the duo only made their first appearance as a couple the following year, during the amFAR Inspiration Gala red carpet. Also in 2016, the couple announced their engagement on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Shows’.
Martin and Jwan wed in January 2018 and the couple’s first child, Lucia, was born shortly after. They are also parents to Renn, born in 2019.
Before the exchange of promises, Ricky Martin was already the father of twins Matteo and Valentino, born in 2008.
