Idol: Is The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp’s TV series really that bad?

It was announced as one of the events of this summer: Idol by Sam Levinson, the director of the famous Euphoria.

After the ultra-glamorous Cannes red carpet with singer The Weeknd, actress Lily-Rose Depp, singer Troye Sivan or director Sam Levinson, it’s time for disappointment. Far from being an announced shocker, The Idol received a disappointing reception.

The series just finished airing on Prime Video (with Warner Pass). An opportunity to offer a briefing, without a filter, on the series.

After her last tour ended with a nervous breakdown, Jocelyn is determined to reclaim her title as America’s hottest and sexiest pop star. Tedros, a nightclub owner with a troubled past, lights a fire in her. Will this new romance take her to the top of her game, or will she sink to the depths of her soul?
