Insidious 5: Who is behind the terrifying red-faced demon?

Terrible composer

A loyal collaborator of James Wan, for whom he signed several soundtracks, Joseph Bishara composed the score for Insidious: The Red Door. But the latter is not limited to one role: he took on the role of the demon in red face, which he already played in the first film of the saga.

“I love getting to know people at Joe’s. I tell them “This is the composer who wrote the music for Insidious”. They will answer me “Ah super”. Insidious: The Red Door is the fifth installment in the Insidious franchise and the third installment in the Lambert family. The original Insidious cast of Patrick Wilson, Ty Simpkins, Rose Byrne and Andrew Astor is back.

Not content with reprising his role as Josh Lambert, Patrick Wilson steps behind the camera for the first time. He was seduced by the director for several years: “Given that I was looking for the right subject for me, I didn’t really think about making a film out of an insidious saga, but when the opportunity arose, I had a feeling that this was a real saga that was close. My heart, and I knew that it would help me very well – Blumhouse believes in me as an actor and as an individual, and I was sure that they would put together the best possible team. Besides, we were talking about directing with James. Van for several years.

The latter, the director of the first two Insidious films, urged the actor to switch to directing: “I’ve known Patrick over the years, we’ve worked together, and I know he’s a great cinephile. A very long cooperation

Insidious: The Red Door allows Ty Simpkins to reprise his role as Dalton, son of the Lambert family, which he played in the first two films of the saga. He was about ten years old then. But Patrick Wilson has known the young actor even longer since Simpkins played his son in Little Children in 2006.

Director says: “This is the most important and challenging role of his career, but I knew, having known him for a long time, I knew that I could push him to the limit – and I was sure that we would succeed. And I was not wrong. He was excited about the challenge.”

Actor, director… and heavy metal singer

Patrick Wilson sings the end credits song, a cover stay with Shakespeare’s sister heavy metal band Ghost. “When we were offered this song – which Ghost’s record company sent me and Tobias Forge, Ghost’s real name, wanted to sing with me – I thought it would be interesting and unique.”The actor and director notes.

He adds: “I really like metal. I like heavy metal and a lot of heavy metal bands like horror movies, so there’s a real synergy between the two genres.”.
