New official images from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series have been revealed, featuring an incredible landscape, the ancestors of the hobbits and the terrifying snow troll.
Magazine empire is slowly unveiling some exclusive official images of the new Amazon Prime Video series, revealing more and more details of “The Rings of Power”.
The biggest highlight among the images revealed so far goes to the one that offers a clear and terrifying view of the snow troll creature. The monster is seen coming out of a dark tunnel or cave and appears ready to make life difficult for a character who appears to be holding a torch.
Snow trolls exist in the universe created by JRR Tolkien, but they are largely unknown, appearing only once in the appendices of “The Lord of the Rings”. They have never appeared before, either in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy or “The Hobbit”, both of which are by Peter King. Therefore, the series will mark the creature’s first appearance in theaters.
On the other hand, snow trolls have already appeared in games based on Tolkien’s works, such as “The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II”, “The Lord of the Rings: The Northern War”. ” and even “LEGO The Hobbit: The Video Game”.
Additionally, another image features the “harfoots”, or “hairy feet”, the ancestors of the famous hobbits, which are featured in both of Tolkien’s film trilogies. The highlight in the photo is the furry Sadoc Burrows, played by Lenny Henry.
Finally, the most recent image released by Empire is the one in which we see an unknown character on top of a tower, focused on the incredible landscape.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” will debut September 2 on Amazon Prime Video.
