A member of the Universitario delegation, from Peru, was arrested for racism, Tuesday evening (11), at the Neo Química Arena, after the match against Corinthians. The match, won by the Brazilians, was valid for the playoffs of the Copa Sudamericana.
The employee, whose name has not been disclosed, was detained in the act by the military police while he pronounced the word monos, which means monkey, and imitated its gestures. He is currently at the Itaquera stadium police station.
The man, who is Uruguayan – the same nationality as coach Fossatti, from the university – will be charged with the crime of racial injury and will have to pay guarantee which can vary from R$ 10 thousand to R$ 20 thousand respond freely to the process.
