The trailer for Star Wars: The Most Anticipated Fan Series is out and it’s epic

The general public discovered him with The Mandalorian Season 2, but the most die-hard Star Wars fans knew him through The Clone Wars and Rebels animated series. Next August, a new Disney+ series will focus on former Jedi Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson.

This iconic character from the Star Wars Expanded Universe is Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan. Having completed her training due to the Clone Wars before being promoted to Jedi, Ahsoka still left the Order shortly before Order 66 was disbanded.

A survivor of the extremism of the Jedi Purge and occasional ally of the Rebels, the latter returned to the Mandalorian to aid Jyn Darrin and Grogu.

The Ahsoka Tano series will give another major character her first live-action appearance. He was born under the pen of Timothy Zahn, who dedicated several novels to him “Legends”Then the main antagonist of the rebels, Grand Admiral Thrawn, will be played by Lars Mikkelsen (who already voiced him in the animated series).

Ahsoka’s series will also feature other characters well known to Rebels fans. This is especially true of Hera Syndulla (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead) or Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), a Mandalorian trained in lightsaber combat.

The late Ray Stevenson will appear as Baylan Scol, a former Jedi who has become a mercenary for the Empire. Also keep in mind that Rebels main character Jedi Ezra Bridger will also make his live-action debut in the Ahsoka series (his face appears in the trailer as a painting on a mural in honor of his design in the animated series).

Finally, it has been confirmed that Anakin Skywalker will make a big return as Hayden Christensen, during flashback scenes and thus through digital rejuvenation technology (like his cameo in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series).

The first two episodes of Ahsoka will be available starting August 23rd, then the rest of the series will air one episode per week exclusively on Disney+.
