Complaints say that the application has stopped working or is out of order. The Downdetector site, which monitors the functioning of web pages, indicates that WhatsApp hasn’t had a peak of complaints, but that user reports are happening all day long. This is all a symptom that, yes, there is a problem with the messenger.

The complaints still seem to be in their infancy, a possible indication that the issues are also just starting to get noticed by people. However, Meta has yet to take a public stance on the issue.
Given that there is not yet a peak of complaints recorded by Downdetector, it is understood that the problem is not widespread and you may be able to use WhatsApp normally without experiencing any instability.
