Russian airstrike kills one civilian and wounds two in Kiev


It is the third consecutive day of the offensive on the Ukrainian capital.

A Russian airstrike on Kiev left one civilian dead and four injured on Thursday (13).

Ukraine’s air defense shot down Russian missiles and drones, and debris hit and damaged several buildings.

This information was released via Telegram by the mayor of the capital of Ukraine, Vitaly Klitschko.

“One person’s body was found while a fire was being extinguished in an apartment building in Podil district. In Danytskyi district, falling debris destroyed the facade of a residential building,” he wrote.

Air raid warnings began to sound across the country shortly after midnight local time.

Since 1.40 am the strong explosions have also been heard from inside the air-raid shelter of the hotel where the ANSA journalist is staying.

According to the head of Kiev’s military administration, Sergiy Popko, Ukrainian forces have shot down a dozen drones.

“It is the 505th day of the invasion. For the third day in a row, Kiev is attacked with ammunition in Shaheds [modelo de drone militar].

On this night there was a massive Iranian drone strike.

The planes entered the capital from various directions. About a dozen enemy targets have been identified and destroyed by our defenses,” Popko said in a message posted to Telegram.
