The West Coast’s best avocado is back. Netflix released the first episode of season 2 of La Défense Lincoln on July 6, the surprise success of last summer. This legal series follows Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) as he must defend clients accused of various and varied crimes.
Every season of La Défense Lincoln is crossed by a red thread. In another, a lawyer must defend a young chef accused of murdering a real estate developer. And it’s actress Lana Parilla who interprets it on screen. A face that fans of the series should be familiar with, even if it has become increasingly rare on television.
Lana Parilla is best known for the ABC series Once Upon a Time, a modern reinterpretation of children’s stories in which she camped as the Evil Queen of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs.
He answered Jennifer Morrison (Doctor House), Jennifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas (Manifesto) or even Jamie Dornan in the first season. The series ended in 2018 after 7 seasons.
Since then, Parilla has been more cautious on television. He made a notable small comeback in 2021 for Season 2 of Why Women Kill (from the creator of Desperate Housewives), a spicy and delicious series that was unfortunately canceled. He has camped there with Rita, a married woman who expects only one thing: the death of her husband. Even if it is by his hand.
Luckily for us, the 45-year-old actor was able to bounce back with a role in La Défense Lincoln. And again, he’s playing a character that seems to have two faces. Is he really innocent? Why did she break up with her ex-husband? What is he really hiding? We’ll have to wait until August 3rd and the release of Part 2 on Netflix to find out.
