Strong wind, rain and Cold. These were the effects of extratropical cyclone which criss-crossed the south of the country this week. Central-Southern Brazil suffered on Thursday 13th winds up to 160 km/h AND rain showers. Now, starting this Friday the 14th, a polar air mass should lower the temperature once and for all.
Second weatherthis Friday could be the coldest day of the year in Sao Paulo. The capital must be sunny, but the maximum temperature is 17ºC and the minimum 9ºC. Saturday 15th is between 8ºC and 20ºC. Sunday 16th it warms up a bit, with a minimum of 10 degrees and a maximum of 24 degrees, but it rains in the afternoon.

- Porto Alegre (RS) Friday morning will still rain and moderate to strong winds. In the afternoon, the sun appears and the wind eases, but the cold does not subside: maximums of 14ºC and minimums of 8ºC. On Sunday the weather warms up a bit, remaining between 9ºC and 18ºC;
- After recording the hottest July day since 2002 this week, the Rio de Janeiro – RJ) there is rain and mild temperature this Friday. The expected maximum temperature is 23°C (yesterday it was 36.5°C);
- It rains and it’s cold Belo Horizon (MG) with the passage of a cold front. The maximum temperature will be 26°C;
- Rain showers occur from a cold front Victoria (ES). The maximum temperature reaches 28°C;
- Here comes the polar cold air Goiania (GO) and the temperature drops. The sun comes out and the air becomes very dry. Maximum temperature of 25°C;
- Friday with sun, but cold inside Campo Grande, MS), due to the cold polar air entering Mato Grosso do Sul. Maximum temperature of 19°C;
- The heat drops a lot Kuiaba (MT) with the presence of polar cold air. It is sunny all day. The maximum temperature of 28°C;
- Brasilia DF) happy hot Friday, with sun and dry air. The temperature reaches 28°C. According to the National Institute of Meteorology, the last rain in the federal capital was on June 17 and 18;
- To the Northern Brazil, Manaus, Porto Velho, Rio Branco, Boa Vista, Macapá and Belém have periods with sun and showers. Maximum temperatures range from 30°C to 33°C;
- Strong sun, heat and dry air Palms (TO). The expected maximum temperature is 35°C, the highest in the country among the capitals, together with Teresina, which has a strong sunny day;
- Fortaleza, Natal, João Pessoa, Recife, Maceió and Aracaju will spend this Friday with sun, heat and some rain showers, but that shouldn’t cause problems. The maximum temperatures vary between 29°C and 31°C.
