Just over a minute into the game, defender González Pires dribbled past the marker, already in the middle of the attack, and made an excellent pass to Lucas Beltrán who struck first, cross, opening the markings in Buenos Aires. Already at 18, even with the representation of La Plata who tried to take command of the match with the need to look for the result, the ball crossed inside the Estudiantes area and which splashed in defense was left to Nicolás De la Cruz. The Uruguayan midfielder shoots from outside the area, low shot, with no possibility of defense for Sappa.

In the 31st minute, after a nice shot by De La Cruz, Nacho Fernández won over the opposing archer and was brought down inside the penalty area immediately marked by the referee Andrés Merlos. On the penalty kick, Esequiel Barco displaced Daniel Sappa and left the match absolutely cleared for the conquest.

In extra time, the long distance built naturally led River to reduce the pace. With this, focusing on scoring management, the match was more favorable to Pincharrata where the distances closed in a good play where Mauro Méndez finished in the 22nd minute.
