Christopher Nolan seems to put all recorded material to good use in the production of his films – and it is not for nothing that “Oppenheimer” is three hours long. According to Emily Blunt and Matt Damon, the director left very little material in the editing.
“It doesn’t cut anything. From script to filming, nothing is left behind. I didn’t know about her process until I did this job,” says Matt Damon, who plays Leslie Groves in the film.
:
As soon as I read the script, he asked me, ‘Do you think anything needs to be cut here?’ I said no, because it was a very dense story, but I suggested that he make the final decision after filming. He replied, ‘Oh, no. If I record something, it will be used in the film.’

Emily Blunt, who plays Kitty Oppenheimer in the plot, points out that “a Christopher Nolan film set is the least chaotic set you will find in Hollywood. All the noise and distractions take a back seat.
It’s very rare that big movies like this have great acting, but that’s what happens in all of Chris’ movies. This is no accident, of course. It happens because he prioritizes the actors, knows what he wants from them and knows how to communicate to them what he needs in every scene.

“I’m sure Chris was dealing with a myriad of issues every day, but he didn’t get involved with us. He’s a hurricane talent, but in a very serene package,” completes Blunt. “Oppenheimer” will hit Brazilian theaters this Thursday (20).
