Reims Polar 2022: Movies and series in competition with Nils Schneider, Nicolas Duvachel, Nils Arestrup …

Following the Tehran Law and Black Box Award in 2021, Reims Polar once again celebrates Best Detective Films from April 5 to 10. Zoom in on this 2022 edition choice.

While Gerrarder has been awarding prizes for Best Fantastic Film last January and CANNESERIES is lifting the curtain on the upcoming new series, Reims is preparing to host the 2nd Criminal Film Festival.

From 5 to 10 April 2022, the event will feature new works from this very popular genre, through a selection highlighting Europe and a poster in honor of Jean-Pierre Melville’s samurai.

REIMS POLAR 2022: Heading to Europe

Following the digital edition of 2021, which triumphed over Saeed Roustayi by La Loi de Tehran, Reims Polar 2022 highlights more than 40 achievements, allowing Reims to shine as the new European capital of thrillers.

Under the chairmanship of Neil Arestrup, the competition jury is to decide on 10 feature films, including Giordano Gederlin’s opening film Between Life and Death, Antonio de la Torre, Marine Vakt and Olivier Gourmet, Ukrainian rhinoceros Ole Man Sentinov from Spain.

In parallel with the competition films, New Blood Selection, whose jury is chaired by Marie Drucker, removes the curtain on 7 films, including Matthew Jero’s long-awaited Sentinelle Sud, Nils Schneider, Sophie Jaimes and India Hair.

The Bad Guys, La Ruse or Dédales will be presented without competition, while the TV series Les Papillons noirs, along with Nicolas Duvassel, Neil Arestrup and Alice Belaid, will be screened at the festival.

Note that Reims Polar will honor the careers of Rodrigo Sorogoyen (El Reino), Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) and Walter Hill (48 Heures) with a special Spanish film program and will lead to meetings with Jacques Weber and Ivan Attal.
