Set in the early 2000s, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, adapted from the works of JRR Tolkien, contains many little hidden details that you may have noticed if you’re a fan of the saga. But did you notice this amazing Easter egg, secretly placed on the wizard Gandalf’s wand?

Spotting the Fellowship of the Ring at several moments (the first part of the saga), you’ll have to look for it at strategic moments to make sure you get it right. Preferably choose scenes where Gandalf is holding a staff and where he is not smoking a pipe (you can see why).

In our opinion, one of the best scenes to see this easter egg is found at 47 minutes and 34 seconds into the film (long version), when Gandalf and Saruman walk through the alleys of Isengard and together they stir the fate of Middle-earth. . Then press the “Pause” button on your remote control and carefully observe the tree branches that are crowned with magic wands.

Usually you’ll be able to spot in one of the crevices a small space that Gandalf used to keep… his wooden pipe.

A tireless traveler and adapting smoke rings in the company of his Hobbit friends, the wizard has indeed found another very practical use for his rogue, which, therefore, also serves.

Gandalf’s wooden pipe (which the character almost never smoked throughout the trilogy) is thus out of reach, available whenever its owner wants to use it.
