Corinthians had some bad news during their match against Bahia this Saturday. Midfielder Matías Rojas injured his ankle and had to leave the game in the second half.
However, the Paraguayan athlete tried to get back into the game, but he couldn’t resist the pain and was replaced, giving way to Guilherme Biro.
In the contest in question, Rojas ran with Tricolor de Aço’s left side Matheus Bahia and sprained his left ankle in the tackle.
The midfielder therefore becomes a concern for the classic against San Paolo, next Tuesday, for the Copa do Brasil. Most likely Timão will not have midfielder Gabriel Moscardo, who has been operated on for appendicitis.
Corinthians and São Paulo will face off at the Neo Química Arena, at 21:30 (Brasilia time) for the first leg of the Copa do Brasil semifinal.
