He woke up early to take me. I discovered the Olympic Center, my training club. My family made a big difference” the player said in an Interview with Globo Esporte.

Going through different clubs

Ary Borges’ career is marked by successful transitions through different clubs, starting with Sport, where he won titles in the Campeonato Pernambucano in 2017 and 2018.

In 2019, the player moved to San Paolo, and immediately distinguished himself by taking on the role of captain, leading the team to victory in the Brasileirao Series A2. Despite his passion for the San Paolo tricolor, Ary made a difficult decision in 2020, choosing to leave the club for Palmeiras, attracted by a more advantageous offer. This change has generated some controversy, but has proved to be very positive for her career, as she shone at Alviverde, winning the Campeonato Paulista in 2021 and becoming a protagonist in the historic conquest of the Copa Libertadores in 2022.

Despite her success, Ary’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Right at the beginning of her career, at the age of 10, she was faced with the difficulty of leaving her grandmother’s house and adjusting to living with her parents in São Paulo.

In the São Paulo region, the childhood of the player was marked by financial difficulties, since her father, Dino, worked with the assembly of custom furniture and had limited resources. Despite her difficulties, Dino made sure that her daughter lacked for nothing, especially the sports equipment necessary to be able to play soccer.

“There were days when she didn’t have the ticket, but we worked hard. Boots for her, transport allowance, … we did everything during that time when we had difficulties, but I did my best and the impossible for her not to miss training and school lessons,” Dino told G1.

Representing Brazil

In addition to his success in clubs, Ary Borges has also excelled in the youth academy of the Brazilian national team. In 2018 he represented Brazil at the Under-20 World Cup and was instrumental in winning the South American title in the same season, demonstrating his ability and talent from his first steps in professional football.

Since Sweden’s Pia Sundhage took charge of the Brazil national team, Ary has already been capped 15 times, representing the country in tournaments and friendlies. In one of the most memorable moments of his international career, he helped Brazil win the 2022 Copa America.
