Anton Cherepennikov’s death is the thirteenth involving businessmen and oligarchs found dead under suspicious circumstances.

Russian media claimed that the businessman died of cardiac arrest; a friend of Cherepennikov has suggested that he may have been murdered.
“I can’t believe Cherepennikov died of cardiac arrest”stated the friend, identified as Vasily Polonsky. He has asked the authorities to investigate the tycoon’s death.
Russian authorities are expected to carry out further examinations of Anton’s body to ascertain the businessman’s cause of death.
Cherepennikov was the head of ICS Holding. He was responsible for developing a technology group in the country that could be used to track Internet users in Russia.
The businessman was also the owner of most of the systems for intercepting and archiving Internet traffic in Russia. Anton Cherepennikov was on the list of Russian personalities targeted by US sanctions.
Anton Cherepennikov’s death is the 13th involving Russian tycoons who have been suspected dead. Recently, the business woman Natalia Bochkarevason of an ally of the Russian president Vladimir Putinwas found dead in her apartment in Moscow.
