Is it worth a look?

Accustomed to making fun of such popular comedies as Camping, All Inclusive or Disco, Fabien Ontiente, director and co-author of Les Enfants des Justes, makes a 180-degree turn with this dramatic fiction adapted from Christian Siniol of the same name. Transportation directly in 1942.

Before the war rages, several childless farmers living in the free zone join a network of resistance fighters to transport refugees by boat. Very quickly, they get a little Jewish girl who will change their lives.

In Les Enfants des Justes, Fabien Ontiente aimed at the story of a simple Frenchman who took a risk to save the Jews from a devastating fate. Fascinated by this historical period, he wanted to make a war film that tells a little story in a big way.

If the narrative remains classic and the twists are predictable, watching this fiction is still enjoyable, especially thanks to the sober interpretation of the two main actors.

Matilda Seiner and Gerard Lanvin, who have a long career, are once again proving their talents in this sophisticated registry.

The young Amber Palace, who takes on her second big role on the small screen here, shines in the interpretation of Sarah, a little girl who has lost everything and who will have to come to terms with a new life.

The transfer of France 2 to the Children of the Righteous takes place as part of the great evening of our history, which led to the occupation and cooperation of France by Nazi Germany. The 90-minute feature film will be followed by a new documentary, Infrared: La rafle des notables, an adaptation of the book by Anne Sinclair.
